In plain English:Use MetaTags for legitimate purposes, don't abuse the AI generation endpoint, and understand the tool is provided as-is.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using MetaTags (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Use of the service
MetaTags is a free tool for generating HTML meta tags. You may use it for any lawful purpose, including personal projects, commercial websites, and client work.
You agree not to: (a) use automated scripts to abuse the AI generation endpoint; (b) attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent rate limits; (c) use the service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the terms of OpenRouter or any AI model provider.
3. AI-generated content
The AI generation feature uses third-party language models via OpenRouter. Generated titles and descriptions are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before publishing it. We make no warranties about the accuracy, SEO effectiveness, or originality of AI-generated output.
4. Intellectual property
The meta tags and code you generate using this tool are yours. We claim no ownership over output generated through your use of MetaTags. The MetaTags application code, design, and branding are our intellectual property.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
7. Third-party services
The Service integrates with OpenRouter for AI functionality. Use of these features is also subject to OpenRouter's own Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or policy changes.
8. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
